Great for healing and preventing colds/ boosts immune system
Serves 3-4
Drinking Water
Fresh ginger root
Lemon juice
Honey
Garlic if you are feeling adventurous and are not concerned about it tasting great
- Boil about ½ cup+ of fresh ginger root in about half gallon of water (peeled and chopped large – you will strain it out after). Also boil any optional garlic peeled and chopped large. Use sparingly.
- Let boil 5 minutes
- Reduce to high simmer for another 10+ minutes
- Turn off burner
- Use a strainer spoon to remove ginger pieces from mixture
- Add ½ cup honey directly into mixture. Stir well.
- Let cool
- Pour liquid into gallon sized pitcher
- Add ¼ cup organic lemon juice
- Add ¼ gallon of water
- Taste
- Add more water and lemon as needed. Add a bit and keep tasting.
- Enjoy hot or cold! Refrigerate.
